Jan Meets the Family

So after months and months of waiting and posting those countdown pictures, the day finally came that I flew to LA! It was a bit dramatic for me (yeah, yeah, roll your eyes now) 'cause I had a preview of how it would feel when I leave for good.

I flew to LA with my Tito and Tita who were first time immigrants. We didn't know that it would take longer than usual for them as they still have to get their temporary green cards. So JR waited at the airport for almost 5 hours. Sorry hun!

So it was around 10pm when I finally got to see my hunny and have our classic "airport moment". On our way to their home, I still couldn't believe I'm finally in LA.

It was 11pm I think when we got home. Everybody was there - they all waited for over 2 hours. I won't forget Kuya Arjei's words "Finally!" haha! I was too shy that I kept asking JR to get me this and that. Haha! I was too quiet and all, but I felt like I'm at home. I don't know, I guess I felt they like me already at that time. Hehe.

Before we went to sleep, one of the things that I realized I was thankful for is JR's life. At the same time, I thank God at how his parents (and second parents, Tito Ex and Tita Aida) brought him up. If not for them, JR won't be the man he was when I met him. I will be forever grateful for them. I know it's a long way for me and JR, but I know that with his (and my) family, we will be able to get through our life together, as husband and wife.
